The BBQ place is cash only, but the sides are amazing - especially the potato salad and coleslaw with pineapple, so delicious. I wasn't a fan of the mac 'n' cheese, but the baked beans were a hit. The pulled pork was good but a bit greasy with too much BBQ sauce, so next time I'll ask for it dry. The brisket was covered in too much sauce for my liking, but the ribs were sauced just right and top shelf quality. It's mostly a takeout spot with quick service, so bring cash and give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

By far, one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious, the portions are large and they have a ton of side dishes to choose from and because they are all soo very delicious, it is hard to choose because I like them all. I either order the brisket or the chicken dinner because the meat melts in your mouth and the BBQ flavor is excellent. Not only are the meals excellent, but the desserts are equally as good. I am hooked on the brownies and cookies and I find it very hard to leave without getting one of each. I have also heard the pies are very good, but I have refrained from trying them in an attempt to not come home with three desserts. Everything is homemade. It was my boys that lead me to this place because they had a buddy who used to work there and my boys found out fast how good the food was when they would go and visit him while at work. My boys could get a home cooked meal cheaper than what it would cost me to buy all the ingredients and cook it myself and it made me feel good they were eating a healthy meal vs. fast food while I was at work. I was a single mother who worked two jobs and I was grateful this place was right down the street. There is a funny story on how my boys paid for the meals and to this day, I am allowed to pay in the same manner :). The family who owns this restaurant always made my boys feel welcome and made sure their portions were big ones making my boys feel special every time they went there. My boys were so taken by this place, they would talk non-stop to me about how good the food was and how nice the people were that owned it, that I decided to give it a try myself, but not until a few years later. Probably a good thing, because I found out quickly they were telling me the truth. Great customer service and a special bond seeing I was the Mom of the two boys that visited often and grew up eating at their restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great place to get BBQ, great tasting side dishes and desserts along with a very friendly and VERY caring staff. 5 stars for sure!

I had been hearing about how great the bbq was so I stopped in tonight and ordered the family dinner which has a rack of ribs, 2 half chickens, three large sides, cornbread and brownies. I couldn't believe how much food I got for the price. My family loved every bit of it. I will be getting my families dinner there at least once a week now and can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu.

Get lots of food for the money,really tasty had ribs and chicken,and staff is very friendly.They gave my wife a free piece of pie just to try since it was our first time in,and at that time they didnt take credit cards only cash and all I had was a card,he told me to take my meal and come back and pay him next time because he knew I would be back,I went back about 30 minutes later to pay because I dont like owing but at most places they would have just thrown the food out if you couldnt pay and I thought that was pretty awewsome of them.My friends told me about the place because they love it now I tell everyone else too..only drawback is they are only open Wed thru Sat I believe

Tried Homeboy bbq'd two weeks ago. Ordered the rib dinner for two and it was amazing. Had to get the chicken for two the following week just to try a dif item and it was again amazing. Can't wait to go again this week. Prices are better than most pizza and fast food places.

Awesome food!! You get any kind of meat and it's all good- with or without barbecue sauce. Similar to what you get in Texas - awesome smoke flavor and perfect sauce, if you want it, to make the whole thing scrumptious! Sides are like down home country cooking! Totally worth take out for this place!

Awesome BBQ! The ribs rock! After I eat some, I put them to my rib test, to see how they taste the next morning. That's when I enjoy them the most cold (same with pizza). I give them 110% delicious! Can't wait hubby on he's way now to get some of that good eating{:•)

I have been going to this place since they were on S. Saginaw in Burton. I can't get enough. Ribs are some of the biggest and best. The BBQ Spaghetti is unbelievable. If you want to really enjoy a treat and sample everything, try the Vegetarians Nightmare. All their wonderful meat choices in one meal. Don't forget brownies!

there food is fantastic.if you like barbecue this is the place to goyou get big potions.i always get the rib brisket combo with 2 sides plus there home made brownies for under 15 dollars.they have a huge menue plus they have at least 7 or 8 different side dishes. you get your moneys worth. they do not scimp on portions. forget about famous daves or dammons this is the place.
