Overrated very disappointing service bad and cat roaming around outside by us
Service was poor and food was not very good
Had to ask for silverware and the few things we ordered did not have
Not going back

Got there at 4pm and was served dinner at 7pm.
Clams were not purged and were dull of sand.
And the mussels were cold. Fries were also cold. 45.mins to an hour for appetizers. Florida native and I will not go back. Horrible...

I have dined here at least once a week since they opened. I have NEVER had a bad meal. Their Burrata Cheese & Heirloom Tomato appetizer is the best! Love their Crispy Calamari & Conch Fritters.
For Lunch I recommend the fried shrimp, lightly battered, never greasy. The crunchy fish sandwich is wonderful. Lobster Club and Cracked Conch Sandwiches are yummy. Great burgers too. Cheese grits are to die for.
Don't let the prior reviews scare you off. This is where the locals eat. And they support our community by donating food and gift cards for various causes.

Sorry to say this restraunt was so disappointing. Our first visit today, 2-17-2017 and it was highly recommended. My husband and I each ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, along with chowder, salad a d beers. My order of lobster Mac & cheese did not have one piece of lobster in it..not one!! The waitress sent over the floor manager a d she proceeded to tell us each serving had 3-4 ounces of lobster..mine did not have one. She asked if I wanted a dessert..I did not. We thought she said she would "comp" my meal, what she "comped" was one draft beer!! That was a very expensive $14 dish of Mac & cheese.no lobster😔

Bad from start to finish. I would elaborate but it would take too much time. In short, the food was cold, overcooked and served with different sides than what I had ordered The waiter didn't bother asking me what I wanted if anything as a substitute. The original waitress which changed midway through our experience was rude and crude using profanities to discribe why she was having a rough night. It took one hour to get the awful food. I could go on and on. I just want people to know what they may be in for if they go to this restaurant. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Bad Day at The Buoy.
There were 4 of us. Stop for lunch before riding up to Orlando to drop two off flying to Ct. Friday Jan2.
Arrived 12:20. Table in 15 minutes. Just stopped Raining. Sat at 1:15, triple overtime. Modified orderer now no appetizers to save time save for a bowl of clam chowder already cooked, waiting an alert server while we sorted out the rest.
2 fried grouper sandwiches, a chocken sandwich and a conch sandwich soft drinks and a water. Order places 1:25. As of 2:02 no service. requested Megan the Manager she doesn't arrive until the food barrage descends upon the table2:08. It had stopped raining and hordes of people were served and satisfied before us and what started as a leisurely repast turned into this rude exchange of food for weak apologies. ]
By the way the grouper sandwiches were crusty while ordered fried but then the game was on and we ate and left. No consideration given for warm drinks served when the food arrived and was peremptorily dumped on the table in a half hearted apology. I like th buoy and most times can pu up with the symphony of chaos because good food arrives in good order.
We will call this visit a " buoyHangover" and hope for better days but this was not one of their stellar moments

I was visiting Ft. Pierce and wanted to try something new. I googled seafood restaurants and found 12a buoy. The best food ever. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but, I had the lobster Mac and cheese, the mini crab cakes, the crab stuffed shrimp( to die for) and the lobster(absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection). Best dining experience ever. I will be back!
