What a hidden gem, tucked away in The Jungle neighborhood! I unfortunately moved across the bridge away from Saint Petersburg. Is my day off as well as a Beautiful day out, I decided to venture back to my old haunts. What a fantastic surprise today. I had lunch at the jungle Prada restaurant. I believe it's called Jp for short Jp Tavern. What a great place! Steeped in long history of Saint Pete going back to the days of Al Capone, JP tavern mixes are longing for yesteryears, with all of the Great food, they serve, deliciously Modern! I had not only out of this world appetizers, an amazing lunch! As well as Mark definitely will take care of you at the bar. I am delighted beyond belief, Most definitely will be back on my days off! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a few years, the staff are always friendly, efficient and pleasant. I love the caesar salad (drsg) is delicious and my husband loves the pressed salmon sandwich. Sangrias have a special recipe and are extremely enjoyable. The ambiance of the area is quaint and quirky and we love it. We often walk down the dock and enjoy the water views before we leave.

My wife and I arrived ahead of two other couples. We ordered drinks and informed the waitress the six of us would be dining and to bring us the bill upon conclusion of our meal. Limited meal options - no longer serve Blue Plate options listed on menu. Meal ended. Bill brought to someone else. Instead waitress saw fit to throw ice at out table. Unprofessional. Won't be eating here again. Thank God that St. Pete, FL has many other restaurants.

It is a bar that could not make us frozen margritas. Their mojito was good. I had the Cajun Meatloaf and it was awful. They cover it in some almost sickening sweet glaze. There is no consistency to the meat it just dissolves in your mouth and not in a good way. I don't think that it is ground beef at all. For being Cajun there was no heat to it at all. My wifes shrimp salad was ok, but the shrimp was almost tough. JP seems to be trying to pose as some Italian wine and dine restaurant. It is not. It is a tired bar. We will not return.

Tried the breakfast buffet it was the worst I have ever tried. The had keich sitting out with no heat lamp therefore it was cold. Had very few choices for the amount charged. The bacon was soggy and also the French toast. My wife asked for hot water for her tea they wanted to charge 2.00. The waitress was upset with us because we voiced our option about the food. Will never return very bad experience.

The appetizer, scallops wrapped in proscioutto, topped with cheese.. your mouth will be joyful for hours after :)
