We were so excited to stop here for lunch. The waitress was very personable and funny. We took her suggestions and ordered a few different things. My husbands whole fish was beautiful but under seasoned. The conch fritters tasted burnt, and this was due to the oil being dirty. The stuffed jalapenos were under cooked, over breaded and lacked stuffing. The New England Chowder has bacon in it here so be warned, just in case you don't eat pork, because it normally doesn't have bacon! I didn't complain which I should have but it was the start to our vacation so was just enjoying the atmosphere and friends. When the waitress came to clear the table asked why I hadn't eaten so I told her. She seemed offended and offered to remove the items from my bill, which I thanked her for since I hadn't asked. Needless to say, she returned to tell me she only took off one item. So at that point I felt lied to...and left only a 12% tip. This woman had the nerve to be complaining about it to her co worker so loudly I heard her as I was walking out. Then had the audacity to come outside to give us a dirty look as we were pulling off. I will NEVER return here again and will make sure to let everyone know what to expect.
