This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Went with group of friends. First time ever trying Cuban. Was extremely disappointed. NO REAL OPTIONS FOR VEGETARIANS!! Toasted "Cuban" bread was served when we sat down. Very thin, to much butter, no flavor. Could have been Garlic toast minus the garlic. Black bean soup looked and tasted like they opened a can of beans, added a little seasoning, and served it as a side dish with the meal? Veggie options were either fried or sweet plantains, fried or sweet yucca, and a big oversized serving of rice. Opted for the fried plantains and yucca. Was served 4 thin little pieces of plantain, and 4 little pieces of yucca. Yucca was about an inch long, and if you put the yucca together, it was about the thickness of a banana. Rice was bland. In a blind taste test, I wouldn't have known if it was Cuban or Chinese rice. When I questioned the server about the portion sizes, she said that's the way the chef prepares it. Some of my other friends in the group also weren't happy with their meals. I was still hungry when I left. I came home and ate a regular meal because I was still hungry. I will never go back to Guarapo's ever again!!!!!
