The food at this local eatery in the heart of Green Cove is consistently excellent, always hot and delicious. After enjoying a meal here, taking a leisurely walk to the nearby park adds to the experience. The friendly atmosphere, great service, and delicious food make it a worthwhile dining destination in the area.

When ever I am driving through Green Cove Springs, FL, I make it a point to stop (US16 and US17) for lunch at this small locally owned pizzeria and ristorante that serves great pizza (also Sicilian style) and other wonderful Italian dishes. D'Fontana is NOT a luxury restaurant (with tablecloths) but a very casual place with a friendly atmosphere and a staff that is polite and service oriented. They offer a Lunch Special Menu Mon-Fri, 11am to 2pm with a selection of pizzas, subs, salads and baked items. Their Dinner Menu starts with a selection of Appetizers, Salads, Veal and Chicken Dinners, Oven Baked Specialty Dinners, Soups and Desserts. A Kids Menu is available.
I had for lunch a small Strombodi and on a previous lunch trip, I enjoyed the Deluxe (12" medium) New York Style Pizza with a hand tossed thin crust. Worth the time to visit this "Authentic Italian Food" pizzeria. Plans are for a second ristorante on CR220 at the "Silo Shop" in Middleburg, FL, sometime in 2016.
