Ugh! I was not able to eat my dinner of General Taos. The fried rice tasted of old grease. The chicken sauce was so thick I was unable to pull a piece out and then it was so dry. It had been frozen more than once. I give 2 stars as my spouses dinner of shrimp and beef was good and he enjoyed it. I will never order food here again as on!y 1/2 was edible.

In the last Year to a Year & half , China Gourmet has done a Roller Coaster ride to terrible . This was the 3rd try and China Gourmet has joined the rank of Frozen Orential TV dinners ! Too bad. This WAS an good resrurant . Lo Mein was mush soggie & hardly any chicken at all . I am very dissappointed ! Time to find a new place !

I have carried out great meals from this restaurant for nearly six years. We enjoy the fresh tasty food prepared by China Gourmet. My favorite is Orange Beef. Our only hope is they expand the menu to include crispy beef. If they could include some Thai dishes and Vietnamese dishes this place would rock!

China Gourmet is always amazing!!! We go there for takeout about twice a month and unlike previous reviews, I have never had to wait on an order and everything has been fresh and hot each and every time. We have gone in for orders as simple as one entree up to 14 entrees and have NEVER been disappointed. In fact, the staff have always been friendly and helpful to me and my family. I really believe that China Gourmet is the best in our Homosassa area and I'm proud to be one of their many customers!!!

Food is great if you don't mind waiting. Tonight ordered over phone 2 meals at 5:57. Arrived at 6:15. Received food at 6:40 pm. Waiting area is small. By 6:30 pm the room had over 10 people in it half of them not wearing a mask.The problem is they don't fix your food until you arrive. Truly disappointed. BTW this happened twice. I work I called order in advance why should I wait25 minutes for food. NEVER AGAIN.

EWWW! Ordered house special chop suey which contained beef, shrimp, and chicken. Yeah, order was ready speedy quick but Meat is not cooked fresh. Tasted like leftover meat. Couldn't eat it. Again ... EWWW and YUK
