I will never go here ever again! We've been to this bar about 5 times in the 22 years we've been living here.
Last night Friday August 25th 2023, my wife got a little drunk and an an undercover DCF officer (so she claimed.A short, greasy haired ugly woman with a big mouth) tried to take my wife away from me at this bar. I am 64 years old, I never yelled at my wife, was not aggressive, or anything. We were having a good time playing darts with 3 other people we met. They left to go home. I told my wife I was going to pee and when I get back we'll do the same. I get back to get my wife and my wife was sitting at a table with this psycho b-tch. The psycho yells in my face two inches from me 'Shes not going home with you. She's coming home with me tonight'. It escalated into an argument with me telling her I don't think so. Next thing I know, I was asked to pay my 3 rum runner drinks the wife had and my two beers tab. Then, I was asked to leave and was escorted outside by a guy who said he works security there. I said 'what about my wife?' The security guy says 'The blonde woman says your wife told her she's afraid to go home with you cause you'll beat her'. I said 'WHAT? We've been married for 30 years and I've never touched her once?' He then says 'Well. the cops are coming'. I said 'Good, I'm a degreed substance abuse counselor. We'll see who they believe. Go inside and ask my wife yourself if I ever hit her or if she's afraid to go home with me?' He takes my ID and goes inside. A few minutes go by and he returns and says 'I saw you and you were never loud or aggressive with anyone. I agree with that.' A woman who was also by us came out and said the same as a witness. The security guy says 'I spoke to your wife and she said you aren't like that and she just wants to go home'. My wife comes out the door and approaches our car that was parked in a spot right in front of the place. The guy asks her 'Again, I have to make sure you want to go home with him? Do you?' My wife mumbles 'I don't know how any of this happened as we were minding our own business until that crazy woman stepped in. I didn't even talk to her'. After a few minutes of the security guy apologizing, we left. In conclusion I want to let it be known that if this is how this bar is going to treat long time local customers, why should I spend my money there? It's interesting that the cops never showed up after I said I was a drug counselor and threatened to sue them. The Jetty is lucky I wasn't held falsely by the police or I would own the place. STAY AWAY FROM THE JETTY BAR! They will accuse you of things you haven't done and don't care!
