The scenery is great. The French onion soup was more like peppercorn soup.
The grouper wellington was a 2 out of 5. The mash potatoe was garbage. Presentation was 0 stars. It was a big disappointment. My bill was $113.22.

What an exceptional experience! We found this treasure online and were pleasantly surprised when we entered the restaurant and found elegant seating inside as well as outside on the water. The food was absolutely delectable and the service second to none. Our only regret was that we were only there for a short vacation and could not eat there the next night too. This was a treat in every way and we are already planning our next trip to Fort Walton Beach and the Bay Cafe!

The Bay Cafe is one of the most delightful things to do on the Emerald Coast. Julien Lorant, owner and chef delivers a superb classic french meal in a simple yet elegant setting on the water. Lovely venue but the real deal is the food! Got to try it! Prices? I guess you get what you pay for, so treat yourself to an afternoon or evening to remember.
