This is by far my favorite area restaurant. The waitresses and owner are so friendly and the food is delicious home cooking. There is also a dessert each day (maybe two!) and those as well are wonderful. Highly recommend!

My all time favorite restaurant in this area. Not only is the food great and the staff so freindly, the other clientele have become like second family.

You need to try the blackened fish salad. It is excellent!
My husband loves their fried mullet and catfish when available.
He also really likes their steaks.
Vernon's most visited restaurant. For a small town it is outstanding!
Most definitely worth the drive. Also you need to check out their old fashioned lunch menu if you are in the area around noon.
It's a friendly hometown restaurant with very friendly, helpful waitresses.
This owner is very community minded - Go Jackets!

The owner does not care about his customers; served over fried chcken one day; the hostess told him that the chicken did not look good; he told her to serve it anyway; it was a to go order; called and complained to his wife and she replaced it; when we go in there; he never speaks to us; never smiles
