If you're in Dunnellon, you've got to check out this charming local eatery that serves up massive portions and mouthwatering Mexican dishes. The chimichangas are absolutely phenomenal - I'm still dreaming about the perfectly seasoned chicken! The friendly wait staff adds a sprinkle of joy to the experience, making it a weekly highlight for my husband and me.

The portions are generous, and the food is full of flavor, making it one of my favorite spots in Dunnellon. The fajitas texanas are a standout dish, and the attentive wait staff always add to the enjoyable experience.

I've been going to this restaurant for a long time. The food is good but the service is very slow. Today, they gave me the wrong food. When I spoke to them about the wrong order, it took them 20 minutes to fix. At that point, I was not hungry n ready to leave. The waiter argued w me about my impatience. I j told him I will not b returning n he didn't care that this was my decision he said. It is apparent that this is not his business.

I do not go to this restaurant anymore. It use to be my favorite Mexican food. Then their help was not very nice. It's as if they had new people working there that didn't care.

We've only eaten there twice since moving to Dunnellon 1 year ago. The food was good, but the service was somewhat slow due to the crowded atmosphere. Unfortunately, our weekend plans don't ever match up with their crazy hours. They're always closed from 2pm to 5pm. That kind of cuts into a person's day plans.
You would think that staying "open" during those hours would be good for business, but I guess that just me. We're not in Mexico so you really don't need a siesta. I mean... Seriously? Run your business!
Imagine the revenue they could generate during that 3 hour slot, times 6.
Anyway...very good food, when you can get it and a nice staff.

I've been going here for years with friends. Hands down the best genuine Mexican in the area.
Recommend the fajitas Texan as a house special.

What is this? If it would let me post a pic, you'd be disgusted. I ordered chicken rellanos, got beef. I tried it, tasted like slop. I was warned previously, should of listened. I ended up eating a frozen french bread pizza. First and last time at pepe.

Excellent food, service slow.
We waited for a very, very long time for everything: menus, chips, water, order our food and then get our food, even for the check. We were going to order dessert but we ran out of time and had to leave.
