The fried seafood here is the best I've ever tasted, particularly the shrimp, which rivals anything from New Orleans. The Sunday lunch buffet features a fantastic selection of made-from-scratch options, ensuring there's something for everyone. With friendly service and incredibly fresh dishes, it's worth a visit if you're traveling along highway 65.

Worst service ever. Grace was our server, completely incompetent with a terrible attitude. After placing our order, we waited for 2 hours for our food that was never served. After repeatedly asking the status of our order, Grace opened the kitchen door (which we happened to be sitting next to) and yelled what the f***, at that point we decided it was time to walk away. I would not recommend wasting your time at this restaurant.

This place is sh-t. We have family all over east point, st george island, and Franklin county. And none of us will ever be back. We went about a month ago and let me just say these people hire the biggest bit..es ever. They dont have the IQ to be in public. Back in may when we went it was sh.t. got our food orders all messed up. Waitress was a total bi..h. half of us never got our food. They treat customers like sh.t. I'm sure there are people that go there that has a good visit. But not us. We heard stories about this place but didn't think they were true. Well they are. It's not so much the restaurant. Its more of the dum.a.. staff they hire. Dont waist your time or money here

These are very welcoming hard working friendly people who are under staffed (as everyone everywhere) is. But yet they still bust there -ss to accommodate everyone to the very best of there human ability. Awesome food great people and a beautiful view be appreciative not so negative!
Last but not least who ever post about no view after dark - well once again self explanatory 😂 not sure of any restaurant that gives out loaner night vision glasses.

BEWARE - Super Spreader! No Covid Conciousness. No masks, gloves, hair nets or sanitizing between turning tables. We stopped for fresh seafood. None was available! All else was frozen deep fried with plenty of grease. We only ordered appitizers and it still took an hour to receive the orders. The okra was so gross, it was still cold on the inside of the oil soaked breading. We were charged for two cat fish fillet dinners when we actually recieved two orders of frozen catfish fingers. And then the credit card bill arrives with selections for percentages of your total recommended for a tip - 10-20%! Very Tacky. We left a tip anyway for the unhappy waitress - hard times these days. By the way, there is NO view after dark. Waaaaay over priced! Avoid this tourist trap.

My friend and I had previously had our fill of seafood and were hungry for a burger as we passed through East Point on the outskirts of Apalachicola. I was impressed with the Family Coastal Restaurant sign and the number of cars parked outside. We decided to turn around and at least look at their menu.
We were welcomed at the door by a friendly waitress, confirmed they had burgers, checked out their salad bar, and decided to stay.
We were not disappointed in any way. The service and food were excellent. We had burgers, fried green tomatoes, onion rings, and I purchased a salad bar for only a $1 upcharge. I thought the salad bar was excellent in freshness and selection for a restaurant of its size. Burgers were tasty and tomatoes and onions were battered and fried to perfection.
The wait staff was super attentive. We learned that they hoped to be back in their location on the water by April. I am sure that a water view will only add to the excellence of this restaurant.
