The food at this restaurant is pretty good for a local establishment, but the customer service is really bad. This place has never heard of service with a smile. I realize this is a Mexican restaurant, but when they are, politely, asked to speak English in front of a customer, so that customer can understand what they are saying, that customer should not have to experience any nasty attitudes related to that request. I would expect to hear no English in Mexico, but they should have no problem speaking English if they are going to do business in America. I have eaten at this Laredo many times. I have enjoyed the food, but the customer service has never been good at this location. Trying to extract a smile from this staff is like trying to squeeze the proverbial blood from a turnip. And I won't even get into the sneers one encounters if an error is caught on.....say...the receipt. But some patrons don't care about customer service. It is, however, a huge peeve of mine. Now, on the other hand, if you do enjoy good food with a great attitude, then I would VERY highly recommend their recently opened Orange Park location. The customer service at the Orange Park location is OUTSTANDING! Also, the food is better. Well, the food may taste better because the service is 100 times better, and that may make for a more enjoyable, better tasting meal. I know for me it sure makes for a more pleasurable dining experience. I have been to the Orange Park location several times, and I have never been even remotely dissatisfied with the food or the service. I have dined several times at their Starke location, as well. The Starke location is still much better than the Middleburg locale, but the Orange Park Location, by far, surpasses the others.
