The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing - from the delicious oysters to the mouth-watering bronzed grouper sandwich and barbecue brisket, everything was fresh and flavorful. Tracy, our server, was fantastic and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Despite being in a location with many turnover restaurants, this place has stood the test of time and offers a great dining option in Placida. I had a wonderful meal here and will definitely be back for more!

Upon entering restaurant and approaching desk to be seated we were totallly ignored by the hostess and manager. Would not even look at us. A waitress noticed and seated my wife and I. Waitress was great and food came perfectly timed. Clam chowder was excellent. I had fried shrimp which were good buy fries were cold and cole slaw was missing. My wife's fish was dry. Sauce was good and beans were cooked perfectly. Both red wines I ordered they were out of. Server was very pleasant. Manager should have been at desk assisting hostess who obviously was in over her head. Also did not appreciate the busier with the long red hair giving us the stink eye. The restaurant has a ton of potential. Very nice decor and view and nice and clean. Mgr. should be trained to walk through the restaurant instead of leaning against the wall or hanging out in the kitchen.

We were seated outdoors at 7 pm, our priority time. Ceaser salad and onion rings were excellent. The rest of the dinner was not what we expected or had at other trips to Leverock.
For a party of 4 we ordered 2 grouper dinners, one onion crusted salmon, and another fish dinner with a tasty sauce on it. The dinners came with a scoop of plain white rice snd over cooked green beans. The server brought the dinners and he held the plates with a napkin, saying the plates were very hot. Turns out the plates were slightly warm and the meals were slightly warm, not hot. The grouper was only fair tasting and not very warm. We could not believe that the sides were plain white rice with no sauce and some over cooked green beans. The salmon was over cooked, dry and not very tasty. The crispy onion covering was soggy. The fish with the sauce was almost tasteless, and only the sauce on it have any flavor.
We feel the dinners were plated and sat there waiting to be served, and got colder.
In hindsight, we should have sent all dinners back and ordered something else, while insisting it be served hot. We were hungry when the dinners arrived, so we ate them. Big mistake.
Maybe there was a different chef that night, Sunday, April 18.
We had lunch there the previous Sunday, and it was good.
I planned to call the manager but they are closed on Monday and we were preparing to leave in a few days, so we got caught up in packing.
