Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at MG recently. Set in an old home with an interesting story, the ambiance was perfect. Be sure to visit the museum upstairs. Everything was spectacular! MG was recommended by friends we trust and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent! The service was good also, filled drinks when needed. It was such a cute place to eat and even had a little museum upstairs to view. A man played light music as you ate in the dining area. Great atmosphere! One word AMAZING experience from beginning to the end of our meal!!' Food Service and Ambiance all excellent! Our food was absolutely amazing and the desserts are delicious. The ambience of this place feels straight out of a movie. Our waitress was the sweetest. The live piano music was the perfect touch for our last night of vacation. If you're looking for nice quiet dinner away from the tourist attractions, this is the place to be. Food is simply AMAZING!!! Service is impeccable!!! Ambiance is just breathe taking. This is a MUST GO restaurant!! Ask for Kathy as your server!!!! Must eat here. Food is phenomenal and service perfect. A gem!!! Don't forget to visit museum upstairs. My husband and I really loved this restaurant I had the Broiled Scallops in Butter-Lemon Sauce with a twice baked potato,DELICIOUS!!! He had the veal on pasta. He loved it. Tammy took good care of us while we were there! And we visited the museum on the second floor. That was fun being from a military family. Will return if we ever get the opportunity again. Delicious authentic Italian food. Definitely need reservations. Amazing staff! Highly recommended So delicious! Wonderful service and excellent food! They make you feel like family. Probably one of the best Ribeyes I have ever had. Definitely looking forward to go going back. The Coquilles Saint-Jacques (French for awesome scallops) were my wife's perfect meal, scallops, shrimp cheese and pasta Alfredo and delicious. If you like it spicy, you can't do better than the blackened fish over crawfish etouffee. Classy atmosphere and great service. A+ Atmosphere is nostalgic, quaint. Food is incredible and so is the desserts. Service is great too. Food portions enormous. It's a definite to dine at. So good. The food portions are enormous. Service was quick and they were super friendly. It is in a historical house with great decor. Lots of delicious options on the menu. And the dessert was great also.

Have dined at MG MANY TIMES in the 50 years living here. The atmosphere and atmosphere always charming. The food and service, sometimes better than others. Today's experience was horrible . Took 2 friends today, both newcomers to area, for lunch. Before we had been comfortably seated, our waitress in a voice suggesting laryngitis, told us to "hurry" ordering, as they closed at 2. My watch read 1:20. We did try to comply; ordered and got our food quickly. The server made several passes by our table as we ate, each time removing something . She was never pleasant; but impatient. Toward the end of our meal, she interrupted our conversation, reached across us to clear our table, including our half-filled water glasses and proceeded to brush off the table, remove everything and re-set our table! I couldn't believe what was happening. We were not offered coffee nor a chance to order dessert from your lovely dessert offerings. BTW, there were at least 3 other tables of folks still dining, so it's not a matter of our having over-stayed our "in-welcome". It will be a long time I bring friends to MG again. Sorry, Mr.Rice, you deserve better than this!

We were let down! The house was charming and we were enjoying the place, until our waitress was shockingly condescending to my daughter, who just turned 13 less than a week before, and was giving her order from the kids menu (for 12 and under). Her tone embarrassed my daughter as she told her it was for the "real littles". Then she just continued to be short and RUDE there after when there was a miscommunication about an order. i might have thought she was having a bad day, but there are several other past reviews that mention "rude" attitudes Sooo she just didn't care bc we were a party of 8 and gratuity was included.

Very good. We had the prime rib sandwich and it was wonderful! Our waitress was very nice. We plan on going back very soon.

Went there yesterday as visiting family, our waitress had such a bad attitude and us being the overly polite people we are we brushed it off. No help on giving us advise on what was good. My niece ordered the crawfish enfoullete (spelt incorrectly) and it was just awful. Tasteless..I ordered the pot roast, menu said with roast potatoes! Nope small dish of pot roast and 3 cut red potatoes with a side of soggy veg (frozen) ..so disappointing and not cheap. My niece being the polite one would not speak up and the RUDE old waitress never once came back to ask us how our food was. The ambience is the only thing going for this place. Probably why it is full of older people as the good honestly sucked. The only time the waitress was polite to us is when it was time to pay. I begrudgingly left her a small tip, the rest of my family we're being polite but she did not deserve this. Don't waste your money or taste buds. Find a restaurant with better reviews. We will never eat there again.

Ordered an app didn't say it had a specific ingredient in it and couldn't eat it. The waitress took it back ask if I would like something else I said yes. Then without knowing they billed me for the app. When asked about it I was told since they were slow they couldn't afford to take it off my bill! I should have at least been informed about this. The entree I ordered just spaghetti with marinara sauce had no flavor. The waitress was good. I am surprised this business is still opened. When I asked the rest of my party how was there food ALL 5 said is wasn't good. Very disappointing treatment and food.
