Recently visited an old-school Italian eatery on the way back from the beach. Tried linguine with white clam sauce while my wife enjoyed Alfredo with broccoli - both dishes were generously portioned and expertly prepared. Despite the small size of the restaurant, it draws in quite the crowd, so be prepared for a wait, but it's definitely worth it for the delicious food. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with a fresh new look that adds to the overall dining experience.

Why would a restaurant be closed on a Sunday? The most desired day of the week for families to dine out on their day off.

I have never had such a horrible italian meal in my life!! I ordered veal parm and the veal was precooked/fried and then they just dumped marinara sauce over it with melted cheese. The spaggetti had no sauce. The veal was not cooked in the sauce and was hard and dry. Someone else at my table ordered the seafood combination and it was awful. No clams in the shells, no mussles in the shell, Again the seafood was just dumped into marinara sauce and served over pasta. No taste to any of the food.
I will NEVER return there as there are other Italian restaurants that cook so much better and know how to cook the food.

Last week we opted for take-out and immediately thought of Mama's! This time we chose Mama's chef salads and we were not disappointed! The lettuce was crisp and the toppings aplenty and pair that with Mama's homemade ranch dressing and we were in salad heaven!!!! This and all our other favorites are the reason we have been going to Mama's for over 25 years!
