I've been going to Pelican Alley for years. This restaurant is my favorite and I have been recommending it to friends and visitors for years and years. The staff is always friendly. The location and view are unbeatable and their onion rings with horseradish sauce are worth the trip alone! I've never known anyone to have a bad meal there. The seafood nachos and chowder are crowd pleasers, and the specials of the day are inventive and delish. This restaurant has a huge local following and the owners are also entertainers with a loyal following. Where else can you sit with a view of the water and dolphins swimming by? The parade of pelicans and boats passing cruising past creates ever-changing scenery as well. This restaurant has nearly 7,000 great reviews on major review sites, so I am not sure why this site shows such a low 'star rating.' They did get badly damaged by a hurricane in recent years and reconstruction seemed to run into many delays, by crowds of 'regulars' donated to support the rebuilding efforts. It took a long time but the changes made kept the spirit of Pelican Alley alive for many more generations to enjoy!
