Ruth, I haven't been there since I posted my review on 04/09/14. Today (06/11/14), a coworker of mine called in an order for pickup for him and myself. He called it in at 12:50pm and arrived for the order at 1:20pm. Guess what? No customers in the establishment, and they started MAKING the food AFTER he told him his name and what he ordered. WHAT A COINCIDENCE! My advice: PHYSICALLY GO IN AND PLACE YOUR ORDER. Like I said, the food is great. However, calling in an order is a waste of time. Your order has no prority, until they start making it (as you're told it's almost ready, and as you can see that it hasn't even been started). It's happened to me (8) times. There is no excuse for that. I'm not the only one this has happened to. I've heard many people in the Vero Beach community say the exact same thing. That's really crappy service.

I suggest anyone trying to check out this restaurant...look on Yelp (dot) com for MANY reviews...do not take the word of one ...who obviously had a bad experience...that RARELY happens here! As you will see on Yelp....it rates as a 4 1/5 start eatery!!!!

Great food.....HOWEVER, do not call in an order for pickup. You'll likely be told it will be ready in 20 minutes. Completely false. I've shown up at South Beach Pizzeria 30-40 minutes after placing an order (to be able to arrive, pick up the order, and pay for it with no doubt that it will be ready) only to find out that A. My order was totally forgotten, or B. only to find no one in the place but the people working there, who decide to start making the food that I ordered when I tell them I placed my order for the second time. One of these has happened a total of (7) times. Not one, SEVEN. That'sridiculous, and really bad for businesses. I really like the food, but it seems that unless you go in and place an order in person, making the food is optional until you arrive.
