Word is that they are closed for good. They are trying to sell the place. It had better be at a discount because finding the right person to run a restaurant in this little town is very difficult. Had a great team in there about 3 or 4 years ago but they moved on and the new manager destroyed the place. Should turn this space into a dunkin donuts or something like that. May have a chance.

They were getting ready to close for remodeling, so maybe we were there on a bad night.

Waiter was very friendly and did his best, so no fault there.

Kitchen was out of a lot of the basics (burgers, potatoes, etc.) Not sure how this can happen when there is a Publix supermarket in the same shopping center.

Food was mediocre and definitely overpriced. 4 person meal, with 4 draft beers and a shared appetizer was $80.

Hopefully their remodel includes a new menu. Until then, I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

My wife and I visit the Melbourne Beach area very often to visit with family, so we are no strangers to this area.What we like about the Surfin'Turtle Bar & Grill is that it's not a scene. Nothing pretentious, just good food and good service in an atmosphere that reeks of downhome and local.The waitstaff and the general manager, take care a whole lot about their customers. The food is always reliable and good.We have eaten there over two dozen times and had a bad meal or service.

Had good times there about 3 years ago. Food was great then but since the new owner took over the place is really sad. The only reason to go there is to see Artie the bartender. Great guy.

The place was great when George and Jen were the owners but now this new owner/ manager Larry has ruined it. This guy doesn't have a clue about running a restaurant. Go elsewhere. I recommend Islands Fish Grill.

The place is nice enough and the food is okay but I have to agree with the two previous reviews in that the manager pretty much freaked us out. He brought out our food only it was the wrong food and then he tried to convince us he was right and that we should eat it. The nice waitress came over and corrected him but he didn't apologize or anything. We thought he was going to hit us. Will never go back.

The atmosphere is great. The servers are courteous and fun. The food is mostly hit, a bit of miss sometimes. The bar is delightful. The crazy guy running around (I guess he's the owner or management?) is plain scary. I would've given the place 5 but he's just a nut.
