03/30/2009 - Dave & Barbara Williams, Punta Gorda Isles.
The food was delicious, homemade pastas & bread
were light in texture but heavy on flavor. Best escargots I have ever eaten. Many unusual items on menu...not expected in this little out of the way hidden pearl Fl. restaurant...Chilean sea bass, duck, Argentinian bison just to name a few...plus
specials not on regular menu.
The service was outstanding...waitstaff were professional and non-intrusive. Prices not cheap, but resonable...special occasion type restaurant, or a place to go when you wan to eat good and feel pampered. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place and took a chance. We have told many of our friends about Vesuvios and plan to go back soon and often. Many items on menu we need to sample. The chef/owner frequently stops at the tables to survey the patrons about they're food & the service...This place has been a hidden pearl for 3 years...hope it is around for many more.
