So one star because the food was good. We arrive 10 mins late for a 515pm reservation at 525 pm because its a busy night with little parking. This evening was for my anniversary with my wife ( our 5 year) which was specifically on the 5th October 2021.
The hostess says to us when we walk in after explaining being late: " no problem, but we do have an hour and a half time limit so now you have any hour and fifteen minutes left to eat. Can you make that work? We looked at each other and were kinda shocked but shrugged and just figured maybe they won't kick us out of we buy enough stuff?
We planned on a multi course, many drinks with a bottle of wine kinda night as it was going to be special.We waited for 15 minutes to have our server "Chaz" greet us and take our order. It was pretty apparent she knew nothing of the menu and was entertaining and suggestions or reviews. She was unapologetic and very curt/matter of fact in her attitude. Kinda like we should just "get it and understand" with no explanation .. .stupid us for not being on board.
I asked about the swordfish and inquired about this entree and what came with it. The description was vague like a seasonal item they don't list everything on permanently because its changes a lot with what comes in and runs out.
She says " It comes as stated on the menu" .....I was. Floored at how rude she was and that I at this point only had 45 mins left to enjoy my meal. The food was good but the service and relations were just pretentious and arrogant. We would have spent 250$ that night on drinks and dinner but went to the Stanley after that for a nightcap. My tab was 100$ and the restaurant lost money that night and repeat business forever. We live in Colorado Springs and visit Estes in a rental cabin twice a year. Went there Aug. 20. Food went from one of out favorites to off the list.

Waited in the car for an hour for our take out. Went inside to find out why, they said they forgot to put the order in. Bo apology nothing we paid $130 including tip Never again!
