We dined at Village Café on Tuesday, March 14th and we had Liz and Angie as our waitresses, and both were very responsive and made several suggestions on the menu and answered all of our questions.
Miguel is the chef at the restaurant and every dish is an artistic adventure!
They take reservations which can be made off of their web site, and the brunch can be busy so a reservation is recommended.
Our daughter and three of her friends are here for Spring Break and they had breakfast at the café and suggested that we try the restaurant.

We are a little cafe one block away from the beach, with a lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff. We like to make customers feel like they are at home. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Village Cafe is an American contemporary fusion restaurant, located just one block away Fort Lauderdale Beach, offering an unforgettable experience with a tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, all this in a nice atmosphere and a friendly staff.
They have an excellent wine list to make purchases by the bottle and wines by the glass with many choices.
The homemade house rolls with two spreads, one cilantro and the other with a kick of spice.
We tried the following:
Tuna Ceviche: Fresh tuna, mango, toasted peanuts, onions, cucumbers, olive oil, topped with lime juice, cilantro and aji limo
Quinoa Tabule $28 Tricolor quinoa, onions, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, lime juice, served with four breaded jumbo shrimp
Grilled New York Steak 10 oz Grilled steak marinated with an aromatic and charcoal-flavored oil.
Deconstructed Key Lime Pie
We ordered dessert because of all the reviews that complimented the key lime pie that we split.
