Toasty!
07/05/2023 - Disrespectful Manager
I called 2 weeks prior to June 3rd and again the week before to let them know I was taking my husband there for his 50th birthday, I let them know that some of their local costumers would be swinging by for a cheer, but we did not need to reserve anything"¦that everyone would be on their own as they all go there all the time. When we arrived, the very rude and cocky manager Andre told me that we were only allowed to have 2 tabs, while my guests all had their own table (we were occupying 5 tables), I asked if I could have a tab per table and he said "absolutely not", my guests were refused drinks at the bar, they were refused drinks when trying to order and pay and not open a tab, we were also rudely told that we had to stay in one section although, again we're locals and we know all the patrons in this bar, we weren't allowed to say hi to someone we knew inside because we had to stay in "a section""¦he treated us very poorly and since have lost a lot of loyal local business, our local friends were not happy to be refused drinks at the bar that they go to on a weekly basis"¦i over heard Andre speaking to the owner about our group, and he described us as kids and that we looked like the type of crowd that would run off on the tab, we're celebrating someone's 50th, we're not kids! And profiling your costumers should not be entertained by the owners"¦I was extremely disappointed with the lack of service and respect from Andre, he should not be in the food and beverage business, he has no etiquette to be in the service industry, the owners should also be ashamed of themselves for treating their local clientele this way, loyal locals that went there religiously on a weekly basis will no longer set a foot in that place! I know with the loss of a family member at this very time, the owners might not have been as involved as they should have, but the manager's attitude was unacceptable, it seemed that it was a personal attack, as if he has no control of anything in his life, so he took advantage that he had full control of this situation, 100% "napoleon complex". The party was moved to Boston Johnnys which was happy to host us locals last minute! To top it all off, we had a total of 6 buckets, but we were only charged for 2, two of my guests food were also not in neither tab, so the sole purpose of losing money happened anyway even with 2 tabs!
