The cheesesteak at this small, cash-only spot is absolutely delicious and worth the slightly higher price, despite the rude staff and inner city vibe, with the quality of the meat and welcoming service making it a must-visit for any sandwich enthusiast.

Been going here since early 90's and its as good today as it was when I started going. Subs are expensive but soooo good!! Highly recommend!

I've been eating there for over 20 years. Its the best sub (super steak) and the (chicken philly) bar none.
The customer service is awesome. The food is great you cant go wrong with any of their subs. Its been there for 0ver 30 years + Its a true gem. Give them a try it will be well worth it.

These people make a pretty good cheesesteak however it's about $3 overpriced. And they don't take credit or debit card which makes absolutely no sense. It's funny they upgraded their price throughout the years but not the way they receive the payment. I wouldn't mind spending the $13 per sub if there was a place to sit down but it's literally a hole in the wall. Everything is to go. My good friend picked up three subs there the other day and it was $51. Bring cash LOL. SMH

Every time my husband come down from ga. to visit this is the first place him and I have to stop by and the first to hit before we leave. Actually our last time visiting we went here everyday. Satisfied every time and the food is wonderful!!!!

I have been going to Famous Phils since they used to be Fat Freddies & they make the BEST steak sub eva. I get a pepper steak w/ cheese (I think they use provolone) w/ cooked onions & this killer hot sauce on the side. It's probably almost 10 bucks for this sub - but it is huge & filling & yummy & I hope they stay there forever !!
