There's a cozy spot in the neighborhood that stays open well into the night. The atmosphere is laid-back, the drinks are cold, and the bartenders are friendly - perfect for a late-night hangout. After a few tequila shots, I wouldn't trust my aim with the darts, but the fun and welcoming vibe makes it worth a try.

Loved this place from when my kids were little. Went there after swim practice every Friday for years. Went there before it grew, when it was just one side. Knew Nick and Joe from the beginning. Sadly no longer live in South Florida and miss it. Jacaranda Pizza Ristorante is among my cherished memories.

20% tip added to your bill including the tax is too much even if the service is good. 18% is sometimes included in restaurant on the waterfront or a group of 6. Pizza is good but it is good elsewhere at 15% or 18%

Hard to find a good take out restaurant in Plantation. The Pizza is good New York style pizza. I ordered chicken parm to go and I got veal parm,, that is a not catastrophe, except the veal was not cooked well and not tender.

This is the BEST food in the area. Take it from me - I had an Italian restaurant for 35 years in the heart of Brooklyn...This is the closest to that that I've come to. Vito

The salads arrived promptly, properly cool, with a good house vinaigrette. Fresh and bracing. Pretty danged good. The garlic rolls? Outstanding.
My wife's chicken marsala was OK, if a bit uninspired. My calimari marinar was short on seafood, lacking in sauce, heavy on the pasta. The food, in sum, was average at best.
But that's not the real issue. Average food, alas, is common. The problem was the service.
Once we ordered, the food came quickly. And we settled in, after the salads and the rolls, for something enjoyable.
After that, though, it was downhill. I tried in vain to get the attention of our waitress for some parmesan in hopes of spicing up the calamari dish. No luck. I went to the reception desk, asked for the cheese. I got from our waitress a rather abrupt: "I'll bring you some." (I shouldn't have had to seek her out in the first place.)
Ten minutes later, back at the reception desk, still with no parmesan, and with our waitress nowhere in sight, I asked a young waiter for cheese. "Sure," he said. And he didn't sound pleased.
Five minutes later, the shaker of cheese finally arrived. It didn't really improve the calimari dish that much And not a word of apology for the delay, no inquiries as to how our dining expedrience was going.
We finished. It didn't take long. I was bordering on indigestion. After 14 minutes of waiting, (sorry, I timed it) the waitress finally arrived to ask if we were OK. I asked for the bill.
I was not huffy. I wanted this to work.
My wife is in the restuarant business. My college student daughter is a waitress. I write about wine.
It doesn't take much to please us. Really. Average food, good service, we're happy. Great food, average service, we can live with that.
But this food was blah. And the service was indifferent, at best. I want to support young wait staff (again, my daughter does this often unappreciated work) but I feel we got... nothing from this experience.
I regret only that I didn't take both young servers aside and tell them why, on a meager 40-dollar bill, I tipped only $3. But I don't think they'd have cared.
