I made the trek to Ft. Lauderdale looking for good creole food. Unfortunately,Rosey baby is a complete disappointment. When you first enter, you encounter a bar where smoking is allowed. How this is allowed in a restaurant these days is beyond me. The smoke smell permeated the entire restaurant. I ordered an appetizer of fried crawfish legs. The portion was small and the best thing I could say about it was the sauce. We then ordered dinner, crawfish etoufee and red beans and sausage. Each had a small sampling of catfish nuggets (which actually weren't too bad). Both were basically the same rice recipe, one with crawfish and the other with sausage. I found three small pieces of sausage in my order, and a few red beans mixed up in large bowl of seasoned rice. The price, $14.95 for the crawfish and $12.95 for the sausage and beans. Needless to say, it was hardly worth the price. I've made better with a box of seasoned cajun rice with a little hot sauce. My wife ordered the hurricane drink. If you were expecting Pat O'briens, forget it. While we were there, a band was setting up for a 9:30 gig. Most people come here to drink, smoke, and watch a band. But if you are looking for authentic New Orleans food, forget it here.
