The cracker barrel in Merrillville In. is filthy. I ordered green beans and the they were over cooked and burnt. The manger brought me more beans but the bottom of them were burnt. The floor is disgusting. Needs sweeping and scrubbed. The ceiling in there is full of dust. Dust balls hanging from the ceiling. People come there and expect good food and good service. It needs to be shut down and cleaned up.

I ordered a to go order on Thursday and it was not good at all. My dressing was dry and my chicken fried chicken was steak instead and it wasn't done all the way I had to cook it more in oven when I got home and the dressing was thrown in the garbage. I called and spoke to a manager and he was great on the phone I think his name was Hobbs but I could be wrong. When we returned on Friday Raquel the other manager was very nice. She took care of our meals and replaced them and we decided to dine in and the food and service was exceptional. We had Carmela for our waitress and she was great. Carmela and Raquel both were great. Great attitudes and great energy. They turned my bad experience around quickly to a great experience. We come here often and never had a problem before so we will continue to come. Thank you so much for being kind to us Hobbs Raquel and Carmela. Happy holidays
