Delicious BBQ! I have eaten barbecue in Texas, Kansas City, Tennessee and all over Georgia, and John's BBQ on Glenwood Avenue is my favorite. The pork is very tender with great flavor, and the hot slaw is a must have.

4/27/12 @ 8PM = Just picked up some ribs & chicken. The ribs had to be at least 8-12 hours old - tough as leather - basically inedible. The chicken I thought would be a breast, but was only a pile of shredded chicken with some sauce. I know that the owner's can't know that this is what they are handing out for take-out. I hope they read this, I want them to know that their reputation is on the line; this was at the Glenwood Avenue location by the way. Wish I had stuck with Miller Bros.

I cannot believe someone would say anything negative about John's BBQ. There is a reason they are continual voted "Best BBQ in Town." The service is always great and the food is always delicious!!! Why else would I eat there at least once a week?!

Mike Johnson... get your facts straight. It is not a log cabin and never has been. You are obviously mistaken. Johns Bar B Que has been voted best Bar B Que 7 out of 10 years. you obviously aren't eating at the Johns Bar B Que on 411 North Glenwood Ave. Dalton Georgia 30721. There is another one in the Lafayette area. The have the best Bar B Que around..read the comment above you buddy, it explains it all..been voted best 8 OUT OF 10 years matter of fact..so come try it for yourself then post something..until then thanks and have a good day : )

Not sure where the naysayers ate or what their motives are for misleading readers but I eat there at least once a week and have for several years. Good food, good folks, decent pricing. The place stays busy with local residents and many local Police and Fire Dept regulars. In fact, not a night goes by that you don't see PD guys in there. That speaks volumes. BBQ is good and they have been voted several times for best HB Steak and Best BBQ in town. Try them and make your own judgment. I believe you will like it.
