06/26/2014 - FLORIDA HUNTER GIVES A B'S BBQ AN A+
I'VE LOOKING FOR A GOOD BBQ PLACE AROUND THE EASTMAN AREA. SAW A B'S ON THE INTERNET, MIXED REVIEWS. SO WE CHECKED OUT. IT WAS AWESOME. RIBS AND CHICKEN MUST BE SMOKED ALL DAY. IT'S JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. SMALL, LOCAL CHOW. FANTASTIC FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE.

The town didn't have much of a choice in the area of dining...
This place is over priced !
Especially for what we were served.
The bbq was too strong with the flavor of something sour/bitter and chunks of fat. (pulled pork)
The Brunswick Stew was a JOKE ! It was pure mush/mash, period. No real flavor.
The only thing that we enjoyed was the turkey sandwiches. Again, too expensive !
The place seem dirty and the tables and bench seats appeared to have never been cleaned.....sticky, sticky !
We will not be returning.

Mustard & vinegar sauce was fair, not very balanced. Smoked chicken was nice with a good pink to meat, though portion was small. Ribs were tender to the point of mushiness. Perhaps boiled or covered with foil, which amounted to the same thing. Could only taste that vinegar sauce. "Brunswick Stew" was a small cup of reddish mush with no identifiable vegetables. It tasted of onions and mustard. The worse was the pulled pork. It was awash in the sauce and had many large chunks of fat and gristle in it. This restaurant clearly does not care about its product.

Bbq was peppery and vinegary. Was not impressed at all. While sitting at the table eating a cockroach was crawling on the wall at our table. The place looked like it needed a deep cleaning. Won't be back.

This was the dirtiest place I have ever eaten. "Baked beans are merely pork and beans. Bar-b-q too much vinegar

Hands down, best BBQ I have ever eaten. Plenty of smoke and barbeque flavor. The chipped pork and pork ribs are amazing. I recommend them highly. Barbeque chicken is very good too. And, don't miss the iced tea. I drove 140 miles to eat there and not sorry I did. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is as you would expect... it's a barbeque restaurant! Plenty of people coming in and out while we were there. I bought a pound of ribs and 2 pounds of the chipped pork to go. I will make a point to eat there again whenever I can. Here's your chance to eat real southern barbeque at it's best.

I have been a customer since AB's was at it's old location and since Rodney was a little boy! The hamburgers are the best in town....even if they have shrunk quite a few times over the years. I do miss the old ones that were patted out by hand. My major complaint lately is the brunswick stew. It was much better back when it was the Castleberry's brand. The new stew is loaded with pepper that covers up any taste. It also has too much meat and not enough of anything else.....meat and pepper. Other than that, The grilled chicken, slaw, fried chicken, fries.....ect. are really, really good. Make sure to meet Rodney...he is great!
