The family-owned restaurant in McRae offers decent food at great prices. Despite the outdated decor, the fried chicken is a must-try for a classic Southern dining experience.

If you are in a rush, it's best to call in advance. I have enjoyed multiple menu items over the years. If I had to choose my fav"¦.. bone in fried catfish plate "¦.. nooooo the quail dinner for sure w honey mustard sauce!!!! yummmy

I waited literally over a hour for a 2 piece chicken and fries. It was cold , burnt , the lemonade didn't have any sugar . It's like they had me wait and forgot that I was even waiting . Definitely do not recommend. Was my first and last time going to them .

I was over charged for 2-2 piece fillet of fish plates, got no drinks almost28$. Sent my Mexican friend to pick up and they took advantage. Went to talk to the owner and he refused to make it right. Went as far as to say drinks don't come with plates. Horrible service, fish not fully cooked. If you ain't a young woman and white they overcharge and are very rude.

It was horrible..the hamburger steak was like leather, the hashbrown casserole was gummy, and pour the can water off the green beans, put in fresh water and some seasoning, please. Also, if you are going to offer onion gravy, please cook the onions. Raw onion in hot gravy is awful. Actually, the gravy was the best thing, and it was one of those packets you mix with water. I have eaten here 4 times in my life, and I swear it gets worse each time. Y'all, please hire someone that knows how to cook and you might make a better showing. I mean, it is the South. We ain't short of good country cooks.

Hamburger steak was tough. Service was back. Had to go to counter get drinks but the couple behind me got there deliver to there tablet. But I will say the Fry's was good.
