Ordered 8 piece fried chicken (only no veggies) for pick up..it was nearly $20!! It was good but for just 8 pieces of chicken you've got to be kidding me!

Oh my gosh, this place is great! We stopped for lunch on our way to Atlanta. I always like to go somewhere I can't find at home, so we gave it a try. The menu sounded good and we ordered a mix of daily specials and menu items. The service was fast, staff was polite, and the food was some of the best southern food I have ever had! The soups were outrageous, a shrimp dish from the menu was like from a good seafood restaurant, and the chicken and rice special was the best I ever had. We stopped on the way back but it was packed for Mothers Day and we couldn't wait. Will be sure to stop again next time. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable!

Heard this was a good place to eat! Boy was I mislead! Food was barely lukewarm, fried okra was swimming in grease, and Coke was close to being flat. Sister ordered mashed potatoes w/gravy. She was charged .50 because she ordered white instead of brown gravy. No one mentioned an upcharge. I did not eat the okra and asked for pinto beans instead. I was charged 2.49 for about a quarter cup of beans. I looked over and noticed two of the employees were drinking canned Coke in lieu of machine soda......makes you think they knew what they were serving was bad.....this was two trips for me FIRST AND LAST!

I'm surprised to see such good reviews. We travel through Lake Park at least ten times a year and stay at the same motel each time we do. Normally we go to Cracker Barrel, but the Farm House was highly recommended as that is where the locals go. We were greeted by a nice young lady who seated us in the "back room" around 4:45 pm. We perused the menu and were ready to select our meal. Not once in 15 minutes did someone come by and ask to take our order or even our drink order. Instead, the wait staff (who were visible to our table) were more concerned about their personal affairs then waiting on tables. They even looked over at us a number of times and could obviously care less that we were even there. After traveling several hours today, we were too tired to deal with it, so we politely left. I hope this was a fluke and that the owners/managers correct the behavior and make sure their employees understand proper customer service.

Home cooked food at it's best. Our family and friends plan our trips to land there at meal time when we are traveling to or through GA. It is the 'Farm House'.
