I have tried the Hot Rod twice. First time was right after they opened. The food was not good so I scratched this restaurant off my list of good places to eat. A couple of yrs. later, I decided to give it another try. I ordered a hamburger and fries. I thought who can mess up a burger. Both the hamburger and fries had an unpleasant taste. Perhaps the unpleasant taste came from a low grade of ground meat. imo

Very Slow Service - Went last year and it was the best burger I ever had but the new owners have changed it all.

Best burger I have ever eaten! By far the place to go when your in town. All the burgers are hand made in-house. My wife got the chicken salad and had to have 2 more to go it was so good.

The food was fair, nothing outstanding. They left the slaw off my wife's order. The waitress NEVER looked back at my table after she served the food. I couldn't get her attention to ask for forks and spoons, so I went up to the counter and asked her for them, she pointed in the general direction where I could go get them. We finished our meal without her asking if we cared for desert or refills on drinks. We never received out check and when I went and tried to pay the girl at the register she couldn't ring me up. Waited ten or fifteen min. for the original "waitress" to get around to giving me the ticket and ringing it up.
