01/20/2020 - Joe Albano
I was with nine other adults on Saturday, Jan. 18. We called ahead because we were told that reservations were not accepted. We still had to wait 1 1/2 hours before we were seated. The servers were great as was the Manager on duty, very professional. The disaster starts now. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, all the food did not come out together in a resonable time, we were never asked if we wanted another drink and when we finished our meal all the plates were left on the table making it very crowded when asked if we wanted desert. We were offered desert on the house because of all the problems we encountered. We appreciated the deserts being on the house, however one was frozen, and one person did not receive her desert until all others had eaten theirs. We told several people of the missing desert with the response being it was on the way, more than one server said the same thing.
It would make sense to accept reservations so appropiate staffing could be arranged. The problem is not the staff, the problem is upper management. As good as the food was it is no consolation for standing and waiting over an hour to be seated poor service because of the unrealistic demands put on the serving staff and food not being served in a timely manner.
I would never go back to Olive Garden, it is an insult to have to endure what we went threw. Three hours is to long a time to spend with such poor service and organization.
Hopefully someone in upper management will address some of these concerns.
