The BBQ at Hickory Pig is fantastic, with perfectly smoked meats that are both tender and flavorful. I had a great time chatting with the friendly owners while enjoying a massive pulled pork sandwich that was simply irresistible. The casual atmosphere and delicious sides, especially the Brunswick stew and cornbread, make it a must-visit whenever I'm in the area.

Pulled pork was tender a moist and not overwhelming with smoke. I have hade Brunswick stew from steenhatchie , Fl north to Virginia Beach, Va. but never had this over tomatoey vegetable soup concoction trying to be passed of as Brunswick stew.
Posses in a can puts it to shame. I would eat the pork again, but the stew should used as chum.

We were driving home from Blue Ridge and were dying for good BBQ! Phil didn't let us down and had us laughing with his stories. This the real deal.
