Visiting from out of town and went to Gustavo's for lunch with my family (party of 10). Spoke to waiter ahead of time to make sure everything would be ok if we were on a time constraint (got there at 1:30, needed to be some place else by 4:00). Was told it would be fine, took our order and we even paid as soon as the order was in just to help the process. Waited 45 minutes and no food"¦. Asked about the progress and was told it would be out soon, there was an oven issue they had all day (we weren't made aware of this when we asked if there's any issues that might slow us up in the beginning). Over an hour after we ordered our food came out. We ate quickly because we were starving and needed to leave. We left, but one person from our party stayed back to speak to a manager. The lady she spoke to was really nice and tried to do something to help, apologetic and all. She went to the back and our server came back asking if we wanted a refund"¦ that's not what we expected but we were pleased they were trying to make it right. They needed our card so she came out to get it from us. When she went back in a different lady was there. She was apparently the manager and she was angry, demeaning, and rude in front of the entire restaurant. Saying we were just trying to get free food (we wouldn't have paid as soon as we ordered if we intended to get it free) and she wasn't refunding us. Made my family member so embarrassed and upset she just walked out. My boyfriend and I went back in to address the situation and the lady that was first helping us came out. She was nice again and sent someone for the owner. A bald man with tattoos came from the kitchen extremely aggressively and told us he was busy cooking and he didn't have time to deal with us. I asked why he was being so rude when he hadn't even spoken to us yet. He waved me off and went back to the kitchen! So rude! I left a review on their FB page saying it was an unpleasant experience, they blocked me and removed the review.

Would leave at zero stars if I could, there is a sign out front stating pizza by the slice so I asked do they have a slice with no meat the girl says yes I said I would like a slice then please she says it's for dine in guest only and we're not excepting anymore seating I said I can just get a slice to go. Nope, we don't do to go orders. All you had to do was put a slice of pizza in the box and charge me for it. I don't understand how that would be much of a problem. Not very good customer service.

Would leave 0 stars if I could ! Called to place a togo order a as told literally 5 mins before I could then that they can't accept them nothing but lies I will never visit based on the lies an rudeness I just experienced no matter how many times I visit dahlonega! Don't waste your time or money with this place

Used to be my favorite restaurant in town. But no more. For the last six months they seem to make up their hours on a daily basis. Closed when their online hours say open. And even worse than that you can arrive when they are "open" and be told the kitchen has closed. I have never been to a restaurant who turns customers away 45-60 minutes before their closing time. The manager is young, rude, and has no clue about how to make customers happy. Someone should buy the place, fire everyone and start over. STAY AWAY!

I give this place 5 Stars only because of Pizza quality compared to what's around the area, The place is also great for the atmosphere and yes there waffle fries (fresh cut every day)

We ordered a pie with spicey sauce as we had a number of times before. When it came out it was inedible. We lifted up the cheese to find that the cooks hadn't actually put spicey sauce on it; they simply dumped a bottle of red pepper flakes on it and spread cheese over it. My wife politely informed the waitress about it, and the waitress just shrugged. My wife then asked if she could just order a plain slice and was told, no, they weren't serving slices. She asked if she could order a kid's small pie. They said no. Basically, they just said "Too bad. We screwed up your pizza and you can't eat it, but we're not going to do anything to fix it or ensure that you get a decent meal." My regret is that I tried to choke down a couple pieces and paid for it. Had we not been there with a group we would have just walked out. This type of service is very common there, and if you read other reviews you'll see that Gustavo's often serves poor or flawed dishes, will not rectify their errors, and have consistently rude staff. We won't be going back.

The Kitchen sink pizza USED to be delicious. Now, they don't use red onions, do NOT put on the extra cheese we paid for, NO meatballs OR garlic! For the $24 and the drive up there to pick it up, it was HORRIBLE! NEVER AGAIN! Not worth complaining because we will NEVER return! They have replaced the yummy original sausage with fake pellets/marbles of soy stuff....YUK and lame all the way around.
