Located in the heart of Greensboro, Asahi Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar offers an immersive Japanese dining experience with charming decor that instantly transports you to another world. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the prices are decent - definitely a great spot for a satisfying meal out.

FIRST AND LAST VISIT. Do NOT waste your time or money. Was greeted with a "yes?". Sat at the table and waited 45 minutes for the chef to arrive. First words out of his mouth was a fat joke toward me. The whole time he kept calling me "big one". "More rice for the big one" my friends told him he was being rude over four times. Oh but wait... it gets worse. After finishing and leaving the table, he comes back... pats my stomach (in Covid?) and says "5 or 6 months pregnant?" I'm a man, so he was just being a jerk. I talked to the owner and she was apologetic and frustrated by him. But clearly not enough to fire him. He clearly doesn't need to be there. The food is nowhere near worth the wait and especially not worth the rude fat jokes. Go to Kabuto or Arigato.
