Ate lunch there on Nov. 4, 2023. Experience was good. Staff was friendly and service speed was acceptable. Prices were average for resturants nowdays. I had a good fried shrimp poboy with plenty of shrimp and the pressed bread was good with a good flavor and not too thick. Also, I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo. Gumbo came with rice with plenty of shrimp and flavor was good, However, the "seafood gumbo" had sausage in it which is not seafood and does alter the gumbo taste somewhat. I don't know why people have to ruin seafood gumbo by putting sausage or even sometimes chicken in it. I always try gumbo wherever I see it on a menu looking for outstanding gumbo. If I am given seafood gumbo with any non-seafood meat in it I will not be buying their gumbo anymore. I will definitely go back to the Blow Fly Restaurant again in the future. They also have a floating dock for boat tie up which I will also take advantage of in the future.

My food tasted old. My husband's food was cold. I have eaten their red beans and rice as a take out order and they were great. About the only thing good about this place. Oh, and they have a good assortment of beers.
