On a recent visit to this restaurant, we were very disappointed with the service we got. Our server took our orders -5 of them. One order was for a cold salad plate, the rest were hot items. Two of us were to get biscuits/cornbread. After waiting quite a while for our food, the hot items were brought to the table, but the cold salad was not. Somehow, either the waitress did not write down the order correctly, or it was just overlooked in the kitchen. Furthermore, we had to remind the server that we were to get biscuits/cornbread. Several of us ordered root beer in a mug. We were informed that they only had one chilled root beer so she would not be able to fill everyones drink order. What ever happened to using ICE? We noticed several minutes later that a customer at another table received a bottle of root beer and a mug. However, we were unable to get two just a few minutes beforehand. On a positive note, my friend who ordered the cold salad did get her meal for free, but not without asking about it. We did leave a small tip, but did not feel the server deserved it. It was not our usual enjoyable trip to Cracker Barrel.
