The meal was affordable and satisfying, with the Clam Chowder soup standing out for its delicious clam flavor and lack of any fishy taste. The salmon Gorgonzola dish was a standout, cooked to perfection alongside sautí©ed spinach. The ambiance inside was lovely, making for a pleasant dining experience with excellent service.

great place to eat
04/24/2010 - Colonel G
Our entire party of five agreed that the chef was way "over the top" in his/her use of garlic. None of us could eat the roasted red-skinned potatoes. And the strong garlic odor from the kitchen permeated the dining room. It was so strong that it irritated our eyes. We see this as a growing negative trend among American chefs. For some reason, unknown to us, they believe smothering a food with garlic makes it better. They would be wise to follow the lead of the great European chefs who know the secret of subtle seasoning with garlic. It should never shout out its presence. If you dislike garlic, don't dine at Leeds. If you like garlic, but do not want it to overwhelm you, make sure your server gets that message to the chef. Our advice to the Leeds chef: don't be so arrogant regarding your recipes and menu. Your restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. That should tell you something. Always offer traditional menu options. We wanted a simple baked potato. Not available. We wanted green beans. Sorry, we're only serving broccoli.
