This dive bar is a blast, with a no-nonsense vibe and straight-shooting patrons. The chicken fried chicken is the star of the show here, none of that fruity drink business. The staff will treat you like family, but don't cross them or you'll be grounded real quick. Steak night with Rick Lee is a must-try, and the patio is the cherry on top of this West Houston gem.

Dont order till you check the price first. Looked online and steak showed 14.00. When I got bill it was 22.00 and I drank water. They said it wasn't their menu. Looked like it to me. Must be under new management. People behind the bar were pretty rude.

We have been out of state for the last two months and went to the Hideaway (our favorite spot, for at least the last 20 years} for their steak night. That won't happen again., In the middle of an outbreak of COVID D no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask, the bartender and wait staff weren't wearing a mask, NO ONE was wearing a mask. Even if you are vaccinated, without a mask you can still be infected with COVID D and transmit it If you want to be exposed to COVID D this is a perfect spot to try it out!
