I want to let you know I had the worst experience at #8 Saturday. I am part of a Red Hat Lady group and 9 of us came to the restaurant which I had made reservations previous. They acted like they did not know this but sat us anyway. We asked several times that another table be added so we would not be so crowed, but they refused. One of the ladies asked for a large queso appetizer to share with all but it did not come out until the meals were served even though she asked for it immediately. They waitress did not come to refill any drinks or ask if we needed anything else the whole time we were there (approximately 2 hours). I asked for the 2-taco meal and added the rice and beans and said it twice but when I got my meal, she did not bring the rice. I asked her and she said, "oh, you wanted rice?". The addition of wanting beans and rice was an extra $3.25, which was fine, but when I got the check, the waitress charged me $3.25 for each. When I told her, she said, well I will have to check the menu to see if you are right. Then she charged my meal on one of the other ladies' cards and said she was waiting on the computer to tell her how to correct it. We had to explain to her how to correct it. We had to ask for our checks twice. One lady asked for the checks, and she said ok but went about her business doing other stuff like putting mugs in icebox, sitting down rolling silverware and going back and forth to the kitchen area. Finally, another lady went to the cashier and asked what we had to do to get our checks. Never any apologies for any of this. I can understand 1, maybe 2 incidences, BUT NOT 7! The restaurant was not even busy. I don't know who this waitress was that was serving us Saturday the 10th (she was the only female there), but someone needs to retrain her or let her go. I was so embarrassed because it was my month to host this event for our ladies and I picked the restaurant. I assure you, none of us will ever return and we will tell others not to come.

One of my favorite places! Pleasant, clean atmosphere, good prices and the food is consistently very good. Always fresh food, have never had a distasteful item. The manager is delightful. I highly recommend El Jimador.
