I was looking for a good place to have lunch here in the Heights (Cause thats what I do, when traveling) I usually want something different like Mediterranean or Asian etc. I also like to stay away from the chain restaurants as well. Today I felt like southern cooking.
So, I found Preslee's Southern Good Eatery.
Nestled in the Heights area off west 19th st.
This laid back eclectic little gem has alittle for everyone. It is kid and pet friendly with relaxing outside seating, along with a playground, hanging chair swings and firepits.
The fully stocked bar includes their variety of specialty frozen drinks.
We ordered the chicken fried steak covered in gravy with homemade mash potatoes ( I got a side salad substitute).
We also ordered the pot roast with mash potatoes and fresh green beans.
Let me tell you, the portions were humongous and the taste was fresh and delectable, southern at its best.
You definitely want to come here with an appetite cause, you will leave full and happy that you did.
They know what they are doing with southern cooking.
