Restaurant came highly recommended, but service was horrible. After our drink order we asked for a senior menu. (It was a late lunch, early dinner for us). Waited 15 minutes until our order was taken. Waitress brought one menu for a table of 5. Ordered off the senior menu and was charged full price. Trusted the waitress too much. Didn't notice until after we got home.

The triple crown....bad service, small portions and bad food.
I would rather be denied service by the Red Hen than lured into a "patriotic" restaurant to be ripped off. Ordered off the seniors menu because they are supposed to be good deals for our seniors, right? No, another scam. I had a chicken fried steak that was the size of 2 chicken nuggets (about 3" x 1 1/2" and very thin) with a small bowl a baked potatoes (counts as 2 sides) for about $9. The cream gravy was watery and sparse. So tough it took a fork and steak knife to cut and had to chew a while before attempting to choke it down. How do they keep it so tough after pounding it so thin? The flavor was reminiscent of shoe leather. And I only had to wait a little over an hour between ordering and delivery. They're picking your pocket while you're saluting their flag. Despicable.

Have gone several times since SKK first opened and at first it quickly became one of our favorites but when we went just after they changed owners it was not good but later did give them another try and after that decided we would not return. Recently though a family member wanted to go there for his birthday so we reluctantly went along. Mistake! To be fair, 4 of the 10 adult meals were good and 2 of the 5 kids meals was OK. My fried oysters were almost cold and were not good even if they had been hot and I had to ask for tarter sauce which turned out to be terrible anyway. There was a catfish fillet left off of the seafood platter my wife ordered so they had to bring it later and had overcooked it. Not sure if the coconut shrimp just does not come with a sauce but my daughter had to ask for that but her husband said the chicken fried chicken was good. Not sure if that is saying much though because after all his favorite meal is meat loaf!
Hey but the rolls, little cornbread and biscuits were good though!

Love this place. Service was great !! And the food was delicious !!! This is really comfort food at its best !!! Loved the mac and cheese !!!

This was our first time going to this restaurant. The choices were unbelievable. Prices are comparable to other restaurants. Staff, managers were very friendly. We were always checked on. Everything we ordered was delicious. Will go here again.

Just left here after 50 minutes and never got offered a drink. They might be great for lunch but they're not worth a s*** for dinner will never come back

Steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. So many sides to choose from. Shrimp were big and the batter very flavorful. Awesome food and service.

Best breakfast the family and I have had anywhere!!! Southwestern Eggs Benedict, Homemade salsas, and the BEST Chicken & Waffles you will ever eat!!

Everything was absolutely amazing. The servers were attentive, the food was delicious. Had a burger, "The Undertaker", Best burger I have ever had!!

Had the fried shrimp Po-boy and coleslaw, both were very very good. My friend had the seafood chicken and said it was absolutely delicious. For dessert had the banana pudding which top the meal off perfectly. The service was superior and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Had the seafood fettucini for lunch, it was amazing!!
My co-worker had Carrabean salad. She said it was not only delicious, but extremely large, to much for one person. The restauant was packed, but service was still excellent.

The best catfish, shrimp, and oysters anywhere. For years have been eating my seafood at the Monument Inn. No more, food is better, as well as prices and portions.

Best food and service I have had in years. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The owners worked the floor visiting with all the guest and checking on them. Stopped at our table a few times over the course of the meal to assure things were to our liking. Great experience!!!

Food was awesome, our server went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Owners walked the floor checking on every table to make sure everything was satisfactory, they are a very nice couple.
