Best food in town tagged up with Guinness. Those who leave this place unhappy will never be satisfied! This is a true locals secret.

O'Shay's in Coeur d'Alene had reat music by Deep Roots band on Jan. 3, 2009, good service, nice atmosphere. Perfect acoustics for musicians to sound wonderful.

I only stayed 5 hours when I visited, so perhaps I didn't get a great feel for...WAIT!! "Who stays 5, I mean, FIVE hours at a pub when visiting for the 1st time?!
I went to hear the local Ol' Time music! WOW! I knew three of the invited musicians were brilliant, but combined with the sit-ins...Fabulous! It was thrilling enough to hear the sharp syncopated toe-tappin' "John" play his magical strings, but THEN, he promptly hosted, seated, and situated many of the patrons, as a key component of the very efficient, hightly skilled staff. Pleasant, diverse, and not overbearing, they got it done, at O'Shay's.
Oh,..and did I mention the food was quite fine? Can't wait for the liquor license to be in place, only for the Irish Cream in the coffe, with dessert, AND an occasional warm Whisky for the brisk Fall days upon us. The fresh frothy thick Guinness was a treat, though. Forgot I wasn't in Ireland. Definitely forgot I had a care in the world.
