So evidently at Arlos restaurant asking for gluten free is only a suggestion. The waitress never conveyed to the chef that we had an allergy. The meal did have gluten in it (my daughter happened to catch it but my wife already started eating). I talked with the chef and he said he never got anything on his ticket that said gluten free. The waitress said she assumed he would know.... we ended up leaving the restaurant. They never apologized and I even had to pay for the stuff we did eat.
As I was leaving thy were still trying to defend themselves for what happened.
My wife will probably be sick all day tomorrow now.

Update... my wife is now super sick from the gluten she ate. We had to change all our vacation plans because someone couldn't follow directions.
