Great place to eat breaded fish! My husband and I stopped in for lunch today. We were very pleased with the customer service and the meal. The staff are welcoming and friendly, providing top notch service. The battered cod, waffle fries and coleslaw were prepared for us with care. Delicious! We plan to return so we can try other fish and side dishes offered. I give this restaurant 5 stars!

I brought my family here not really expecting a lot. Since Skippers left town several years ago we have been on the lookout for a quick fish and chips place. We had never stopped by The Gangplank, only wondering what it might be like as when to Tom's Gyro's next door. I brought the family here and I was pretty shocked at how bad it was. Very small dining area. Kitchen looked out dated and in disrepair. Bathroom was right next to one of the tables. The whole place looks like it could use a good cleaning. Onto the food. Very high costs for very small portions of terrible frozen seafood. I ordered some of the most expensive items on the menu, the breaded halibut and clams. When it came out I nearly laughed out loud. I've seen better fish in a grade school cafeteria. My wife and my son's portions were also very small. Everything tasted like the fry oil hadn't been changed in weeks. My son ordered some(expensive) shrimp on the side and received mostly breading.
The service was actually pretty good there. There was a nice lady that took care of us and made sure we had the drinks and utensils we needed. The younger kid doing the cooking seemed to be doing a good job as well.
It's too bad really too. A little advice. A nice friend seafood house would do pretty well. Get some better product, lower your prices and give the place a good cleaning.
Do your stomach and your pocketbook a favor and pass on The Gangplank.
