Recently tried Mr. J's for the first time, despite its unassuming appearance, the food was surprisingly delicious and reasonably priced. The burrito special and fries were a satisfying meal, definitely worth a visit for good food and quick service.

It's suppose to be open. Yet I'm calling for at least 30 mins now with no answer?! Poor service , doesn't answer their phone half the time. This has happened before!!

Horrible service horrible food everytime i ordered the food is cold example A. I ordered an italian beef worst italian beef i have ever had it was all fat and grissel and you know it has been just sitting around the auju sauce i asked for had been cold and was covered with the cold fat i have never had such horrible food or service.

Well I've ordered a lot of food from here, mainly because it's one of the only places that delivers to me. You never know what your going to get when it arrives. The costumers service usually stinks, the foods usually cold! I work 15mins away, and yet I keep giving them a try. Call me crazy...I have a 50/50 chance they'll been me the right order.

This place is horrible the food is always cold when you get it delivered. Today I ordered food they forgot some stuff and made us pay for all the stuff they forgot to give us. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the guy refused to let me. I will not be ordering from here anymore

Just ordered 2 gyros plates; one for me and one for my co-worker (we work in Ottawa). We agreed that this is the best place to find authentic Gyros this far south west of Chicagoland area (which we are both originally from). We had them delivered, too, which took about 25 minutes. Not bad for lunch time and the food was still nice and warm. Plenty of meat, authentic Greek sides and pitas. The phone staff and delivery person were very friendly. I know the other reviews say otherwise, but for me and my co-worker, this was a great food experience. Others that we work with actually recommended this place and I'm glad they did! Now my husband and I don't have to drive to Joliet or further to get an authentic tasty Gyros. Thanks Mr. J's! Keep up the good work!

I moved to Ottawa 4 years ago and before I got here my sister and my 75 year old mother could not speak highly enough about the food and the service. Over the last year I do not know what has happened but I will not be back and my sister will not either. You have one of the best gyro sandwiches that I have had that I do not have to travel to greek town to get. But, I am not going into a place where the help is unfriendly, on thier cell phones and close the place down early because they do not want to be there, this has happened on several occasions. My sister got three $10 gift certificates for Christmas and called in a $30 order, when she got there she was told that she could only use one gift certificate at a time. The person who bought them paid at once and the certificates do not say one certificate per order. She did not have any cash and your help said the management said we can only take one per purchase. So instead of selling $30 worth of food you threw it out because she walked out and will not be back. You need to fix these issues before you do not have a business anymore.

Mr Js is a great place to grab a quick inexpensive bite. Make sure you try a genuine gyro and their poor boys are awesome. My family has probably tried everything on the menu and we havent found anything yet that we dont like.
