I finally tried out this restaurant after living nearby for years and it was for a birthday celebration. The interior has a 1920s speakeasy vibe with cozy private spaces for intimate dinners. The service was super attentive, ensuring our meal was just right, and the food had some standout dishes like the pork curry and shrimp cocktail appetizers. Our main courses, like the perfectly cooked steaks, were very satisfying, and the desserts, especially the cream brí»lí©e and crepes, were a highlight. The experience was great, and we're definitely planning to come back.

Went here for dinner with family on a Saturday night, expecting the advertised $35 prime rib dinner, but that wasn't available. Had a Tuna Tower appetizer with "Japanese spices" which turned out to be just a whole lot of pepper. (I love real Japanese flavor pallette, but this ain't it.) At a high-end sushi house, it would have been less expensive and far better. Had the Pear Salad, which was small and quite good, even if it was priced like a meal. Then on to the entrí©... The 'special' of the evening was a 16 oz. ribeye steak. It was a good steak. Slightly above average. It came on a plate with a slab of butter, a tiny little scoop of flavorless potatoes, and a little vegetable croquette that was hard, chewy, and overcooked.
The little steak was $75. By itself. Ruth's Chris restaurant would be embarrassed to charge that much for that plate - and they have much better service and decor.
To be fair, our waiter was a nice kid, and did a good job - but the polish just wasn't there. When my meal costs over $140, I expect more.
Tom's Place is nice. Neighborhood restaurant nice, bar and grill nice. It is most definitely NOT $140 per person nice.
Definitely NOT worth the price charged.

Unbelievable quality hidden away in such a small town.
