This restaurant is under new ownership. Still has the same GREAT tasting pizza as always! Loved the Calzone that I ordered - it was SO good. Will definitely be back.

Pizza is greasy and overpriced. Place is small and always very loud.We waited at least 30 mins for our pizza only to be not satisfied when it finally showed up. I will admit the sandwiches are good. The Zesty Chef and Italian Beef are very good.Order a sandwich to go.

Great place to eat. I'm not much of a pizza person but their pizza is very good. I love the sauce. Great place to eat at a reasonable price.

I've been going to this place since I first moved to Tunnel Hill in 2000, and it's always been great. Truth be told, I never actually tried one of their pizzas until this year, and even then I was always satisfied. Their menu has some variety to it, it's not the largest menu you'll get around by a long shot, but they've still got some goodies.
Their italian beef is unlike most you'll get around these parts; rather than using the typical Louie's Italian Beef Au Jus that most places do, they instead use their own Italian seasonings and cut out the au jus, and the result is a tasty, tasty sandwich. They use the same beef on their other sandwiches, my personal favorite being the Zesty Chef (beef, pepperoni, ham, mozzarella, onions, green peppers, and ranch), sooo hot and delicious, and they're pretty generous with the cheese. They also serve burgers, they offer singles and doubles, but beware; the double chee is pretty big. (Not that that's a problem or anything.)
The actual pizzas are great, too. The only complaint I have with them is the way they do their dough, I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about it always seems off. Everything else is fine, though. Like with the zesty chef, they use a generous amount of cheese, and the sauce is zesty, though in my opinion there's not enough of it, but that's just me. Some people just don't like that much sauce. My mom, for instance.
The food is served in a small diner, the walls covered in Harley Davidson decals and the like, and friendly waitresses available to take your order as soon as you're comfortable. As far as price goes, you'll get standard fare for pizzas (a small one topping pizza goes for about 7.50 I believe), the sandwiches are nicely priced at about 3-5 bucks. Overall, not shabby.
All in all, I'd recommend this to anyone in the area who hasn't tried it, especially the zesty chef, at least once. It's a small place that doesn't stand out too much, but you owe it to yourself to stop by if you're ever in Johnson County. You'll be glad you did.
