The food and service were exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to accommodate my wife's gluten-free needs. Our dining experience was memorable, highlighted by friendly service, fresh and delicious meals, and a warm atmosphere that made celebrating a special occasion truly special.

The food and service were fantastic, and they were able to accommodate my wife's gluten-free needs with no issues. Every time we dine here, it's always a five-star experience with excellent quality and friendly staff. The beef is fresh, locally sourced, and cooked to perfection, while the salad bar offers a wide variety of fresh and appetizing choices. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a delicious meal.

We love going to Forest Inn - great food & service with a lovely atmosphere. Favorite dishes? Stuffed mushrooms & prime rib. Steaks served Paris style or bourbonia are delightful. Watch out for the salad bar or you'll get too full to eat your entree! 😊
Special treat - Brandy Alexander or Grasshopper made with Lots of ice cream!
Worth the trip anytime!😋

We love this place! The owner always makes everyone feel so special with his one-on-one interaction of checking in with guests. The food is amazing and the salad bar.... when talking with others about Forest Inn one of the first things they'll say is how they LOVE the salad bar!! 5 star all around experiences that keep us coming back for more!!

Went on a busy Sat night for our 40th Anniversary. I'm glad we had reservations. The stuffed fried mushroom appetizers were very savory and done well. The prime rib was done perfectly and the cowboy steak was worth it. The salad bar has a nice variety. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service and the ambiance. Beautiful decor. We plan on eating there more often, not just for special occasions.

this is the go to place in this area to celebrate all special dates and holidays in our family. when you go to the forest inn you are declaring that it is a special meal for special people on a special day ---- at a VERY special restaurant!

What an amazing find! Now, we drive from Chicago on a regular basis at least 10 visits by ourselves or with guests and have never been disappointed. Outstanding cleanliness with multiple 100% state ratings displayed proudly. The menu is standard American fare not adventurous but outstanding in quality and value. The salad bar is immaculate and well stocked. The decor is beautiful with good lighting and wonderful panel ling and highlights. Management and employees exude a true hospitality and have remembered us since our second visit. The bar area also is very pleasant with friendly service. This is our favorite restaurant outside of the better quality restaurants of Chicago. For a wonderful meal in a pleasant, friendly timeshare this is the place! In addition, the pricing is very economical, providing great value.

I live in East Moline, IL about 47 miles away and the food, services and atmosphere are well worth the trip! Have not had one disappointing meal/experience in all our visits!
